How come we can’t comment on blog posts and videos?

Comments have become very popular, and the norm, for most blogs and video sharing sites. We do accept comments, but we want to make sure that all comments about the site are to the benefit of the camping profession. We want honest and constructive feedback, but we also want to make sure that we only post the comments that will truly benefit the entire community.

Please e-mail info@campleadership.org with your comments, along with the title of the post you wish to comment on in the subject line.

How often will you publish new posts?

We try to publish one new entry each day Monday – Friday. We want CampLeadership.org to be part of your day, but not an overwhelming part. Come into the office, check your e-mail, open CampLeadership.org and see what’s new. Most video clips will be less than four minutes long, and most written entries are less than 700 words.

We are trying to keep to posting one new piece of Video Advice, one Written Advice piece, one Podcast, one Game and one Song each week, but this will change sometimes due to the season.

How do you afford to maintain the Web site and regularly update it?

Currently we have done all the Web site out of pocket. We just recently made T-shirts for sale to help support us for $15 a piece. Buy them here. The founders can be contracted out to travel to your camp in order to consult or facilitate a staff training. We are happy to accept donations, and are currently looking for some camp vendors to sponsor us in exchange for advertisement space on our site and in our videos. For more information about donation and sponsorship opportunities, please contact Mike at info@campleadership.org.

Why do you have Google Ads on your site?

We are trying to implement new ideas in order to get some revenue to make sure the site continues to produce quality entries. Until we receive some sponsorship funds, we will have to resort to some advertisements on the site from Google. Most of the advertisements have to do with camp, so make sure to visit them and let us know if the ads are a good or bad thing.
