Brilliant. This is something that all camp counselors need to be reminded of. It's easy to allow teens to get away with what they want, or to even take the stance of "We'll the director said no pranks, don't hate me, it's not my fault for ruining your fun, it's his" but challenging the kids is something that is much more rewarding for both the campers and counselor.

Great Story--Dave

I am trying to transition from CIT's to a Teen Camp. My CIT program has not worked for many reasons and I want to try something different. I want to provide a better experience for my teens, especially the 13-14's. I am looking forward to more posts from you!

Absolutely Evan. I'm excited about this series as well. A lot of my conversation with this former camper was devoted to talking about how many memories are formed while in teenage years. If we can provide amazing experiences for teens, they will hopefully come back as staff, directors, board members and future financial donors.

I loved this one. Pure ingenuity.

I'm excited to see where you take this series. A lot of who I am today is attributable to my days as a teenager at summer camp.
